come home
to yourself

not to withdraw from
the world, but to meet it more fully

“Ruth's coaching has been completely transformational for me - I have grown in many more ways than I anticipated.”

Hello! I’m Ruth

For more than three decades I've worked with thousands of people from many walks of life, supporting them to navigate the complexity of being human — professionally and personally.

My background spans transformative and executive coaching, systemic work, adult development, group facilitation and psychologically informed approaches.

Several years ago I discovered Internal Family Systems, and it's since become one of the core methods underpinning everything I do. IFS has deepened my work immeasurably — both in my private practice and in my work with leaders and teams in organisations.

What I love about IFS is its deeply compassionate starting point: there is no assumption that something is wrong with us.. When we begin to understand the different parts of ourselves, even the thoughts, feelings and behaviours we struggle with start to make sense. It’s a seemingly simple model that can bring clarity and calm in the midst of complexity — both within ourselves and in the world around us.

The more we can meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion, the more able we are to meet other people — and an uncertain world — with greater steadiness, openness and humanity.

For more than three decades I've worked with thousands of people from many walks of life, supporting them to navigate the complexity of being human — professionally and personally.

Several years ago I discovered Internal Family Systems, and it's since become one of the core methods underpinning everything I do. IFS has deepened my work immeasurably — both in my private practice and in my work with leaders and teams in organisations.

IFS helps us find a steadier place from which to meet uncertainty — not by denying what is happening or retreating from the world, but by becoming less governed by fear and reactivity.

There is no assumption that something is wrong with us. Even our most difficult behaviours, thoughts and feelings make sense when we understand the parts of us that carry them.

My role isn't to tell you who you should become. It is to accompany you as you become curious about your inner world, heal what needs healing, discover what is already within you, and create a life that feels increasingly your own.

You don't need to leave parts of yourself behind in order to change. You can bring all of you.

The more we can meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion, the more able we are to meet other people — and the world — in the same way.

testimonial

“Coaching with Ruth enabled me to step back and better understand the different aspects of myself - including the parts of me that have a tendency to be over-responsible and over-empathise in relationships and the parts that get overwhelmed and feel like an imposter.

So much more is possible now; I feel loads more calm, I show up confident and happy. I'm a lot more creative at work, getting involved with much bigger things, and I've identified and embraced my own leadership style.

I'm even far more comfortable in my friendship group now I'm not worried about keeping everyone happy!

I've stopped getting in my own way and started going in my own way!”

testimonial

“Ruth's coaching has been completely transformational for me - not only in relation to my professional growth, but my personal growth too. Often leadership coaching can feel overly corporate; something that doesn't go to the deep reflective places that, say, psychotherapy does. Ruth is a rare coach; one whose approach bridges both the professional and deeply personal. She does deep, challenging work which taps into our humanity, our patterns, and the habits that might be holding us back - whilst also applying a practical approach that propels and creates forward motion.

When I first met Ruth, I was struggling in my personal life, and under pressure to perform professionally, having been recently promoted. Ruth was able to see the full picture; both the personal context and the high-pressure work environment which was demanding more and more of my attention and focus. In order to enable me to rise to the challenge of becoming a senior global leader, Ruth's work with me was adaptive. No two sessions were the same - but I could see a profound impact after just a few hours together.

Working with Ruth was without question one of the most important decisions of my career. And I have grown in many more ways than I anticipated - not just as a leader, but as a human too.”
